Rivendell Interstate School District is hiring teaching assistants with strong academic skills to support a program for 7th and 8th grade students in math and literacy and a program for 5th grade students. We are looking for engaging, energetic people with the ability to respond to a wide variety of social and academic needs in a positive manner. The assistant will work individually with students in small groups, and in full-group team building activities. The assistant will work under the supervision of two classroom teachers, but they must also have the skills to work independently with students on their math, reading, writing and project work.

Rivendell Interstate School District is hiring a math and language arts teacher to deliver an individualized 7th and 9th grade curriculum in math and literacy. We are looking for engaging, energetic teachers with the ability to respond to a wide variety of academic and social needs in a positive manner. The two teachers will work as a team, along with the classroom assistants. The teachers will provide direction and supervision for the teaching assistants and students.
Our summer school model reflects a workshop approach to learning. We focus on improving individual skills in math and language arts while also encouraging a high degree of individual and group problem-solving. There will be two teachers and several teaching assistants in the room. We want students to develop their academic skills in the areas of literacy, math, problem-solving, use their imaginations, develop their social skills and have fun.
The day begins with breakfast and academics followed by lunch. The afternoon focuses on projects that extend learning from the morning. We have ample outdoor space/trails, two makers spaces and technology labs to support project work. There are funds for materials. The project work will be displayed in the school or shared digitally.

Camp will be held at both Westshire and Samuel Morey Elementary schools and is geared for children entering Grade 1-5. Multiple positions are available. Due to licensing standards, in order to apply, you must meet all qualifications for the position.
Site Coordinator (1 per school)
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program, including overall site management, planning and supervision of students and staff.
Specifications:
