RACHEL SANDERS, Science Teacher: 
BA Biology, MS Oceanography. 
Prior to joining Rivendell in 2010, Rachel taught biology in Ghana with the Peace Corps. Rachel’s focus as teacher is making interdisciplinary and real-world connections between science, society, and personal experience, creating projects that “bring humanness to science.” Rachel is a frequent co-leader of RA trips involving outdoor and international travel.
